Plantar Fasciitis

Foot pain, specifically in the heel or along the arch and into the ball of the foot, is known as plantar fasciitis. This pain occurs when the connective tissue that runs from the heel to the ball of the foot becomes inflamed. Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that affects as many as 2 million Americans per year and can be extremely painful, giving you the sensation of stabbing, tightness, or tenderness in the affected area. Symptoms may decrease throughout the day as your body warms up with activity but are likely to worsen if they go untreated.

Physical therapy is highly effective for the treatment of plantar fasciitis and can reduce pain and restore your ability to put weight on your foot again.
