Big news in the world of physical therapy! PRN is excited to announce that we’ve officially joined the Alliance for Physical Therapy Quality and Innovation (APTQI) as an Executive Member. What does that mean for our patients, clinicians, and communities? In short: a stronger, louder voice fighting for the future of our profession - and for every patient who relies on us.
Why This Matters
APTQI is a leading advocacy group representing thousands of physical therapy providers and organizations across the country. By teaming up, PRN and APTQI are uniting efforts to advance policies that protect patient access to quality therapy, support our clinicians, and push for meaningful change in healthcare legislation. With our combined network now representing more than 8,000 clinic locations nationwide, we’re helping shape the direction of physical therapy on a national stage.
Our Commitment in Action
At PRN, our mission has always been simple: personalized, innovative care for every patient who walks through our doors. With over 270 clinics across 16 states, we see firsthand the life-changing impact that great physical therapy can make. But we also know the challenges our profession faces—especially when it comes to reimbursement rates, patient access, and keeping therapy services available to those who need them most.
That’s why we’re proud to take this next step with APTQI. Together, we’ll be advocating for:
-
Stabilizing Medicare Payments: Ensuring physical therapists can keep providing high-quality care without facing constant financial uncertainty.
-
Expanding Access: Supporting key legislation-like the Stopping Addiction and Falls for the Elderly (SAFE) Act-to make preventative care and screenings more accessible, especially for older adults.
-
Empowering Clinicians: Strengthening the profession through transparency, innovation, and ongoing advocacy at the state and federal levels.
A Word from PRN Leadership
“We believe every patient deserves personalized care, and we’re committed to supporting the policies and partnerships that make that possible,” said David DeGumbia, COO of PRN. “Partnering with APTQI allows us to unite with like-minded organizations to drive real change-from stabilizing Medicare reimbursements to advancing important legislation like the SAFE Act. We’re proud to lend our voice to efforts that support clinicians, empower practices, and strengthen the value of physical therapy across the country.”
What’s Next?
We’re energized to be working alongside leaders who share our vision and values, and we’re ready to roll up our sleeves for the profession and the people we serve.
Stay tuned for more updates as we advocate, innovate, and elevate physical therapy together!
