When new employees begin their jobs, they are given form after form to review and sign and are then encouraged to enroll in a variety of company benefit programs. In the rush of all these things, important programs and resources can often be overlooked and forgotten – like mental health benefits.
Here at PRN, we are proud to offer our employees with a variety of mental health resources and benefit programs. We firmly believe that mental health is critical to maintaining a successful and healthy lifestyle and helps one to develop a positive work-life balance.
We work to encourage all employees to develop a healthy work-life balance. While this balance may be different for each employee, we truly believe that finding this balance is critical to achieving happiness and fulfillment in the work we do. Not only that, but finding this balance helps reduce stress and prevents burnout in the workplace.
As we continue to celebrate Mental Health Month here at PRN, we are excited to highlight a variety of the ways that PRN supports all employees throughout their mental health journeys.
PRN proactively supports the mental health of all employees by offering a wide range of health plan benefits that cover both mental and behavioral health care. Our medical plans provide mental health coverage ranging from zero cost, flat copay or percentage of co-insurance depending on the plan employees choose. We utilize one of the largest plans nationwide that offers a wide array of mental health providers throughout all states in which we provide services. We are proud to include these services within our benefits packages and encourage employees to utilize them if and when needed.
In addition to our health plan offerings, PRN offers an Employee Assistance Program through Lincoln Financial. Through this program, our employees can access professional counselors and other specialists. These mental health professionals can help employees tackle everything from stress to depression, substance abuse, financial concerns and family issues.
It Is well-known that mental health counseling and other therapy services can help with the following:
- Stress and anxiety at work
- Stress and anxiety at home or in personal relationships
- Addiction issues
Our dedicated team of HR professionals at PRN always strive to provide the most support they can to any employee who expresses mental health concerns. We urge all employees to seek assistance whenever needed and are working to help de-stigmatize discussing mental health in the workplace and in general. No one should ever feel shame or repercussions for reaching out and seeking assistance for mental health. As an organization, we are here to support our team in any way we can.
