Mckenzie completed her undergraduate work at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California where she majored in Natural Science and minored in Psychology. She continued her education at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012.
Mckenzie returned to Southern California after graduating from graduate school and has been practicing in orthopedics since 2012. She has cared for all ages in all stages of life. She has worked in both in-home and outpatient settings, addressing a variety of conditions, including but not limited to: pre and postpartum dysfunctions, balance and gait impairments, general orthopedic issues, post op and sport-specific injuries, along with high-level neurological conditions and developmental delays.
She utilizes a combination of manual therapy, patient-specific exercises, functional movements, postural education, and breathing techniques to help her patients return to their prior level of function, thereby improving their quality of life. She is passionate about her work and seeing others thrive. Her goal for her patients is to help them understand their bodies, teach them how to function to their utmost ability, and have them reach their goals, no matter what those are.
In addition, Mckenzie is a very active mother of two young children. She makes time to care for herself with various daily workouts such as weight training, yoga, and running. When she can find the time, she also loves going to the pool to swim laps. She teaches her children the importance of movement and exercise, and they take walks or bike rides around the neighborhood regularly. They enjoy spending time outdoors exploring new parks, going to the zoo, hiking on trails, playing at the beach, and practicing various sports. Mckenzie loves watching her children grow into strong, curious, and fun-loving individuals who seek the outdoors.
