Our entire family has been going to Synergy Sports and Rehab for nearly 10 years for both therapy and strength & conditioning. Jeff, Kelsey, and the entire team truly feel like family, and they treat us that way every time we walk in. Over the years, all of our kids have developed into NCAA athletes, and with demanding basketball and volleyball schedules, they’ve needed consistent therapy to stay healthy. Synergy has played a huge role in that. They’ve been instrumental in keeping our athletes performing at a high level and healthy enough to compete, helping support teams that have made multiple CHSAA Final Four appearances and even a 2026 5A Boys State Basketball Championship at Lutheran this year! Simply put, we couldn’t have done it without a strong physical therapy and training team behind us. Jeff’s knowledge of the body is second to none. He has a unique ability to diagnose and treat issues quickly and effectively. I’ve personally gone in for everything from back and hip pain to ribs out of place, and every time, Jeff figures it out and gets me back on track. We are incredibly grateful for everything Synergy has done for our family and would highly recommend them to anyone serious about recovery, performance, and long-term health. These guys are good. A while ago I had a very annoying calf injury that lasted for weeks. So I gave these guys a try and they didn’t disappoint. Their equipment is brand new, the facility is very clean, and they have very unique and effective exercises, administered by very knowledgeable staff. But what I liked the most is that you would think they might want to keep you visiting them more/longer since each visit is more money/extra charge, but not these guys they really wanted me out of the program as soon as I arrived, they wanted me out asap but in a good way. They made sure I don’t last in the recovery program for more than a week and they made sure that I left fully healed. Now this is top notch professionalism and integrity.

I’ve been thrilled with the progress Jeff has made working with my son over the past few months—it's been nothing short of outstanding. From the very first appointment, Jeff took the time to really listen, ask smart questions tailored to my son’s needs, and explain everything in a way that both of us could easily understand. His treatment plan was customized specifically for my son’s situation, not some generic approach. Each session had a clear purpose with noticeable improvements, and Jeff always sent us home with simple exercises we knew how to do and why they mattered. He was encouraging without pushing too hard, perfectly balancing challenge with my son’s limits. What stands out most is Jeff’s genuine care—he remembers details about my son’s daily routine and school activities, adjusts exercises to fit our schedule, and checks in on progress between visits. We’ve seen huge gains in my son’s pain relief, mobility, and confidence, letting him get back to playing the sports he loves. If your child needs a physiotherapist like Jeff who’s highly skilled, attentive, and truly invested in young patients’ recovery, I can’t recommend him enough. He’s made a massive positive impact on our family, and we’re so grateful.

Jeff and Kelsey are the best and make sure each game I go into I have full confidence in my body. They always make sure things go smoothly, and according to plan. I love how they care for each player as an individual, showing love and concern for all of us. I love Synergy because of the atmosphere and the recovery lounge.

The staff here is really friendly. What caused me to consider other options is the number of people seen at the same time by the same PT after the initial follow up. For my last appointment the PT was managing 3-4 people during the same hour and it was all very overwhelming. I understand booking people at the same time however this volume did not seem manageable. I called a different clinic and the most they co-book during the same hour is 2.

Commonly Asked Questions & What to Expect During Your PT Treatment

Do I need to see a doctor first?

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, be sure to bring the following items:

  • Prescription for physical therapy from your referring physician (if applicable)
  • Government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license)
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Patient forms, which can be downloaded from this site in PDF format. Print and fill out the forms completely and bring them during your first visit.
  • Patients who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit.

What should I wear to physical therapy?

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

What can I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, your therapist will perform a thorough examination, in which he or she will review your physician’s recommendations, examine the problem area, ask questions about your injury or pain, develop an effective treatment plan for rehabilitation, discuss their findings with you and answer any questions you may have. Your treatment plan may include hands-on, manual therapy, a customized exercise program, stretching and physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Your physical therapist may also recommend a home program to further assist in your treatment.

How long will my appointment take?

Your first appointment will typically last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your injury. Following appointments usually last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment for check-in and paperwork. You can also download our patient forms, which can be filled out beforehand and brought with to your appointment.

How often will I need to come?

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

Do you accept insurances? Will insurance cover my therapy?

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
