Physician ordered physical therapy for my back and leg...difficulties from old surgery started up. I can only say that Vista off Loop 288 in Denton is the place to go. They work with you and show you how to move and get stronger. Always aware of any discomfort I would experience during treatment. Explained uses of any equipment . All staff are great from receptionist to the Therapists. Friendly atmosphere . Areas clean . People laughing and all staff very caring . I will go back when needed and recommend them highly

Vista Physical Therapy is the very best therapy clinic I have ever been treated at in my life. For anyone who is looking for a good place to go for physical therapy, then please allow me to explain why I am so adamant that Vista Physical Therapy is the best place for their recovery. My name is E. Norris and this is my personal experience with Vista Physical Therapy at the 288 Loop location in Denton. When I found out that I had to have a knee replacement surgery, I started researching the different physical therapy options for the Denton, TX area. This was something that I knew I needed to get right well before my surgery date. There were only four options, in my opinion, at first. Then I went through the process of making contact and asking the crucial questions about the focused treatments and procedures that I could expect from whichever physical therapy clinic, that I may potentially choose. Every one of the clinics that I spoke with basically said the same thing, except for Vista Physical Therapy. Vista Physical Therapy, has utilized a very impressive system for treating the needs of the patients. The wealth of knowledge as well as techniques that they apply to the patient’s therapeutic sessions are not only varied but incredibly effective and valuable to the patient’s recovery. I have experienced incredible continuous improvement, as well as the mental benefits that I have experienced because I know that I am in the best possible place for my physical health and wellbeing . Everyone seems to forget that, when I are going through the recovery process of a physical condition, that it is imperative that the patient’s trust in their physical therapist, leaves them with a clear sense of security for their own personal journey to their recovery.. The Therapist that I have been fortunate enough to have been treated by are Mrs.Sarah and Mrs.Teresa, and I can as someone who has been in various physical therapy clinics in North Carolina, California and Texas. I have never worked with more competent and knowledgeable physical therapist, than Mrs. Sarah and Mrs. Teresa. As a former member of the United States Marine Corps, I was trained to seek out the best and most qualified people to work with, and this no different in my all areas of my life. The treatment they provided, met me where I was physically, and helped me to move forward to a state of wellness that was more than I expected. Hands down Vista Physical Therapy is the very best therapy clinic that I have ever been treated in my life. I owe Vista Physical Therapy a great thank you for improving my quality of life, and I sincerely appreciate Vista Physical Therapy more than I could ever express in mere words. Mrs. Sara and Mrs. Teresa, I truly appreciate everything you’ve done for me and my physical recovery!

Sarah and her team are amazing at what they do. They are kind caring and very professional. I've only had three visits so far and am already feeling the improvements. I highly recommend water therapy to anyone who needs it!

"I was really looking forward to my first appointment and rearranged my entire schedule to make it happen. Being proactive, I even checked online beforehand to confirm my UHC PPO would be accepted. Unfortunately, I walked in this morning only to be told 15 minutes before my assessment that they don’t actually cover my insurance at this specific LA Fitness location. It’s disappointing because the positive reviews gave me high hopes, but the lack of communication regarding coverage was a major letdown." They offered to set me up at another location. I said “No thank you and walked out”

Commonly Asked Questions & What to Expect During Your PT Treatment

Do I need to see a doctor first?

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, be sure to bring the following items:

  • Prescription for physical therapy from your referring physician (if applicable)
  • Government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license)
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Patient forms, which can be downloaded from this site in PDF format. Print and fill out the forms completely and bring them during your first visit.
  • Patients who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit.

What should I wear to physical therapy?

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

What can I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, your therapist will perform a thorough examination, in which he or she will review your physician’s recommendations, examine the problem area, ask questions about your injury or pain, develop an effective treatment plan for rehabilitation, discuss their findings with you and answer any questions you may have. Your treatment plan may include hands-on, manual therapy, a customized exercise program, stretching and physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Your physical therapist may also recommend a home program to further assist in your treatment.

How long will my appointment take?

Your first appointment will typically last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your injury. Following appointments usually last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment for check-in and paperwork. You can also download our patient forms, which can be filled out beforehand and brought with to your appointment.

How often will I need to come?

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

Do you accept insurances? Will insurance cover my therapy?

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
