PRN’s Joint Venture with MemorialCare represents a successful physical therapy & health system joint venture strategy that has resulted in clinical, financial, and operational benefits.  Through strategic expansion efforts, the joint venture has doubled the retail access points since its inception to ensure timely and convenient access to care for all patients.      

The physical therapy service line has significantly expanded to include numerous specialty services for patients with an increased focus on quality of care and improved patient satisfaction.  Furthermore, increased care coordination has decreased leakage and ensures patients now receive the right care at the right time.

PRN and HCA Healthcare forged a joint venture with HCA's Texas-based group, Medical City Healthcare, to broaden and expand accessibility to integrated physical therapy care across the North Texas region.

Through the JV, HCA/Medical City Health providers directly benefit from having a dedicated team of experienced PT experts who specialize in and provide a wider range of leading rehabilitation services - without having to hire and train their own physical therapy staff.

Adding to this, maintaining an in-house physical therapy department became costly for the group. By outsourcing these services to PRN, HCA/Medical City Health will benefit from reduced costs associated with staffing, training, equipment, and facility management. PRN also brings strong purchasing power and economies of scale, leading to further cost savings for the system.

Over the next few years, the joint venture is fully committed to opening additional centers across the region.
