Joshua Skadeland

Dr. Joshua Skadeland was born in Glendale, Arizona and raised in a sports-oriented family made up of college athletes.
Josh played football and basketball through high school, eventually earning a football scholarship to Southern Illinois University. He played tight end at S.I.U. for four years while earning his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. As a patient, Josh was rehabbing a knee surgery after college which kindled his interest in the physical therapy realm and the vital impact it can have. Six months later he was accepted by Midwestern University in his hometown of Glendale, eventually earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Josh has been exposed to and is familiar with the demands of competitive sports and enjoys getting athletes back into the game safely and pain-free. He strives to create an energetic and challenging atmosphere in which Individuals of all ages can regain their function after injury/surgery, or enhance their level of performance for their favorite activities.
Josh is a Board Certified Sports Specialist and certified in Dry Needling, uses Myofascial Release, joint mobilizations, spinal manipulation, and other manual techniques to aid in the rehab process. He has experience treating post-surgical orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, low back pain, shoulder issues and geriatrics.
Patients should expect a combination of personally tailored functional exercise, movement analysis, and effective hands-on treatments when working with him. Josh believes that everyone is an athlete in their own respect and takes pride in optimizing their level of function for football, golf, pickleball, raising children, and everything in between.
In his free time, Josh loves to archery hunt, fish, exercise and spend time with his fiancé.
