Kristin M. Duckworth
PT, CSCS, CKTP, Clinic Director
Kristin Duckworth graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Kinesiology and a Minor in Biology in 2004 and received her Masters of Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern in 2006. Kristin joined Vista immediately following her graduation, and in 2008 she achieved national certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). This certification, as well as her background as a competitive soccer player, and her long history of being part of high school Sports Medicine teams, gives her an advanced understanding of the demands placed on today’s athletes and how to treat them accordingly.
Kristin has practiced in the orthopedic setting for her entire career and places heavy emphasis on utilization of advanced manual treatment techniques, including adjunct treatments such as dry needling, cupping and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilizations to achieve optimal functional return for her patients. Combining her manual therapy skills, therapeutic exercise prescription and functional training techniques to optimize the return of function as efficiently as possible, she enjoys treating injuries sustained from recreation, occupation and degeneration of both the spine and extremities but has a special affinity for treating the shoulder complex.
Kristin, her husband, and their son reside in Prosper and enjoy living in the community in which she works. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, attending her son’s activities and events, volunteering in the community and relaxing at the lake.
