Katia Correa
PT, DPT, USAW-L1
Katia earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California after completing her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University. She has been working in the physical therapy field since 2010 and has spent the past 7 years treating patients as a licensed physical therapist.
Katia enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and post-operative conditions, with special interest in foot and ankle, hip, knee, and shoulder rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping athletes and active individuals safely return to the activities they enjoy with improved confidence, movement, and performance.
Katia has a strong background in strength training, movement, and exercise-based rehabilitation and holds her USA Weightlifting Level 1 (USAW-L1) certification. She has completed multiple courses in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and utilizes a full-body approach to treatment incorporating movement-based rehabilitation, myofascial work including cupping and compression band flossing, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).
Outside of the clinic, Katia enjoys strength training, traveling, spending time with her family and her two dogs, Maverick and Gryffin, and is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Chargers.
