Who May Qualify for a Disability Parking Placard
Nevada law allows individuals to qualify for a disability parking placard if a licensed healthcare provider certifies that they have a condition that significantly limits mobility or function. You may qualify if you:
- Cannot walk 200 feet without stopping to rest
- Require assistance to walk, such as a cane, crutch, brace, wheelchair, prosthetic, or another person
- Have a lung condition that limits breathing or endurance
- Use portable oxygen
- Have a cardiac condition classified as Class III or Class IV by the American Heart Association
- Have a severe orthopedic, neurological, or arthritic condition that limits walking
- Have a qualifying visual impairment
Both temporary and long-term conditions may be eligible, depending on severity and expected duration.
