Stretch to Stay Energized While Working from Home


Eduardo is a human resources specialist who works remotely. He typically wakes up at 7:30 a.m., gets ready for the day, heads downstairs to make coffee and then hits the ground running at his ergonomic workstation. Whenever Eduardo feels his energy waning (i.e., the dreaded afternoon slump), he takes a quick break to loosen up and refocus with an afternoon session of PRN’s Stretch & Flex program.


All Eduardo has to do is join the 1:30 p.m. virtual call and commit to 15 minutes of live, guided stretches (recommended twice a day) demonstrated by one of PRN’s ergonomic specialists. Once he has completed the session, Eduardo feels reenergized and ready to take on the rest of his daily tasks. These stretches help improve his day-to-day ergonomics, including his range of motion, flexibility and blood flow. Before his company offered Stretch & Flex sessions throughout the work week, Eduardo noticed he continued to reach for an extra cup of coffee or energy drink to push through the afternoon. Now, he can stretch and move right through the rest of his days with increased productivity and enthusiasm – and sometimes coffee, but not for the previous reasons.

Susanna is a consultant who travels to meet clients on a weekly basis. She flew from Dallas to San Francisco, her home base, late last night and is feeling the jet lag and exhaustion set in. Put simply, stretching is like a warm-up for our muscles and brain!
