Shoulder replacement. Long recovery. Clayton was instrumental in my recovery. Kiki and Jennifer were awesome. I must add that Julie at the front desk/Office Manager makes it all flow smoothly. I appreciate Bob the other PT and his perspective on rehab as well. Great group, wonderful guidance and great healing! Thank you, all of you, Liz Tabb

I have been in multiple car accidents in my life. My neck has always had the tendency to act up/ hurt. (C1 and C2 area). But it mostly had been temporary pain or manageable.
Last year, my neck pain had been increasingly getting worse. Over the course of 3 years I had two more babies, was nursing, and with my occupation I never got the opportunity to feel relief from the pain.
No amount of ibuprofen seemed to help, I tried different pillows, chiropractors, massage therapists, went to 4 different kinds of doctors/ specialists, and nobody was able to help me. I was truly starting to think I was crazy and that I had been making up all the pain that I was living with. It got to the point that I literally couldn’t move my head. I didn’t have the option to not work, and every day that I had to get up to do my job, I would be in tears pushing through. It quite honestly was one of the hardest times of my life pain wise. I had no relief… ever.
THEN I got referred to PT for my neck. I picked rehab authority because it was close to where I live.
The first 3 months were very very hard for me. The pain was not gone, I was so depressed, I was doing all the exercises at home and at the clinic, and every time I would have a PT day, the rest of the day working was absolute misery. But the staff at Rehab Authority gave me hope. There were mornings that I would come in with the weight of the world on my shoulders, in so much pain, feeling so defeated, and the love and kindness that they gave me without even knowing what I was going through, truly changed my life. They encouraged me to keep going, keep showing up, push through the hard, that it WILL GET BETTER. AND THEY WERE RIGHT.
Bob had so much patience when going over the exercises with me. I had a million questions like “wait, what muscle am I supposed to be using?†“Can you show me how to do that again?†(For the 700th time) etc. He answered my questions, considered thoughtfully about my situation, and he validated my pain with giving me a solution to correct it.
By the end of the 6 months that I was a patient at rehab authority, I not only gained the tools to continue the process at home, but the pain in my neck is nearly gone! I went from living at a constant 8/10 pain to a 2/10, some days even a 1/10.
I also gained a second family.
Jenn, Kiki, Charles, Clayton, Bob, and Julie are such wholesome people. They make you feel heard, cared for, and encouraged.
Julie truly is a light in the dark. Attentive, helpful, friendly, willing to jump up and do anything she can to help or be of assistance. She gets to know every person who walks into that place on a personal level. She is engaged and present, and that place would not be the same without her.
Jenn is constantly in a great mood, outgoing, bubbly, and extremely educated in her craft. She lifts the spirits of every person there.
Kiki is such a sweetheart. She works so hard, seems to have a passion for what she does, and helped me really hone in on my form with many exercises. Kiki and Charles were both so patient with me (like Bob was) when I kept asking the same questions over and over haha. I never felt embarrassed to ask anything, even with the simplest of exercises.
I didn’t get the opportunity to work with Clayton much, but from what I saw, he cares about his patients and is a great source of knowledge.
PT may seem boring to some people, but I had more laughs in this building with these people than I have in a VERY long time.
Not only did they help me heal my neck, they helped heal my soul. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for literally changing my life.

This is the second time I’ve been a patient at Rehab Authority. All of the Physical Therapists are great and the PTA’s are helpful, kind, and caring. Clayton Shaw runs a great clinic. Julie at the front desk is always accommodating and willing to work hard for the patients coming in to the Star office.

I'm sure my shoulder recovery would have taken much longer had I gone to a larger "factory like" facility like I've experienced in the past. All the staff really impressed me with their positive attitudes, level of professionalism and actually had made it fun. Looked forward to physical therapy for a change. Started out with appointment facilitator, Juli and then Bob my PT, who I identified with right away as a car guy too.. Over the course of a few weeks the rest of the team all jumped in to help, Charles, Ki Ki, Clayton the Clinic Director too, and Jen (who always managed to be so up beat I had to smile just seeing her enjoy the job.) As I get older, remembering the specifics of an exercise occasionally blended in together with another, they always showed patience in explaining the purpose of each set of reps.
The only negatives, which I am sure they hear from every patient is how hard it is to fight the downtown Star traffic to find a way to get to the appointments on time. State Street and Star road are one of the busiest intersections in the valley.
And the app for at home use, "Limber" forces you to do each exercise in sequence without much pause, can't rate exercises individually, the videos are painfully repetitive and long and it seems amateurly designed without much flexibility.
