I recently finished my physical therapy during my knee replacement recovery . My experience at Rehab Authority in Meridian was the best physical therapy experiences that I have received. The first person I met when I walked in the door was Abby, the patient service representative. She made me feel so welcomed that from that minute, I knew I would come back. And she was not only that way on the first visit, but every time I entered the facility she had a wonderful smile and a warm and caring greeting. Jamie Weishaar, PT Clinic Director, spent one on one time with me. My first two visits assessing me and helping me with exercises that would get my leg stronger. From the very first visit, he asked me what some of my main goals were to accomplish during my physical therapy time and throughout my therapy he constantly checked on me and made sure I was making progress. He is very informative, caring and kind not only to his patients, but to all the people that work for him. Dustin PT and Gage PTA also were so caring, helpful and informative to my recovery. There are three assistance Brooke, Bree And Mandy. They also showed such kindness and compassion for all of the patients that were working on their exercises ,being iced, etc. I would recommend this facility to anyone that wants to have a great and professional experience in recovering from surgery or injury or whatever it is you need for physical therapy. I personally feel that the reason I have had such a wonderful experience and full recovery from my knee replacement was not only my surgeon who was amazing Dr. Armstrong but also rehab authority in Meridian that was recommended to me by my surgeons office.

Each of the staff are friendly, attentive, and excellent at quickly familiarizing with each patient and keeping track of their goals and progress. I've been to a few different clinics over the years with fairly positive experiences with both staff and care, however... The structure of appointments and the focus of the Therapist with each patient at Rehab Authority has been far more comprehensive. Elsewhere, I would be waiting in the lobby till they were ready, during the manual therapy portion, the therapist might use one or two various techniques each time then send me on to exercises where there would and there might be time waiting between exerises as they are directed throughout the appointment. Here, I can get right into exercises when I arrive, with new ones being added in as I progress so I feel like I am actively getting more out of my time spent at each appointment without stagnating progress I can continue at home. Finally, the manual portion with the therapist has comprehensive and focused treatments I can look forward to each appointment, with added focus as needed. Very happy I went to Rehab Authority!

This place is amazing! The staff are very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I've been to a couple other businesses and didn't realize just how good PT can be until being referred here. I worked with Jamie but also chatted in great length with Dustin while I was getting ice/electric treatment; both are wonderful individuals. As long as those guys are around and this place is in business, I won't go anywhere else in the future. A little about my experience this time. I have a chronic sprain from an injury that just never got better, so after a few months following an accident, I went to Sawtooth like I normally do, and the person there said "I can't help you, you'll need surgery, go talk to a hand specialist next door", ignoring the fact that my orthopedic specialist said I absolutely did not need surgery and we should do PT; we argued for about 15-mins until he finally started on some PT (which was absolutely useless PT this time, just some wrist blading and some door bands that did nothing for my wrist but felt it in my shoulder). I told this to Jamie and he was confident we could do something. He started working on me and identified the exact part that was tight and needed a lot of work, but reiterated it's absolutely fixable with PT; I felt noticeably better after his treatment, and then they did this really interesting icing and electric treatment afterward.

Rehab Authority - Meridian is the absolute best place for physical therapy! I tore my ACL and had surgery about 4 months ago. I’ve been seeing them twice a week since my surgery, and know I wouldn’t be where I am physically today without their help. The entire staff operates like a family unit and are always welcoming and very positive.

I can’t say enough good things about this physical therapy office. From the moment I walk in, I’m greeted by name with a warm smile. Jess at the front desk is incredibly friendly and always makes scheduling easy. The student assistants are kind, professional, and attentive, and the physical therapists, Jamie and Dustin, are outstanding. Everyone on the team is knowledgeable, approachable, and truly cares about your recovery. They take the time to listen, explain your treatment clearly, and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the process. After hurting my shoulder I was referred to this office and the personalized treatment plan that I received has been helping me get back on track and I’ve made great progress thanks to their support and expertise. This place doesn’t just treat you like a patient. They treat you like a person. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy.

Commonly Asked Questions & What to Expect During Your PT Treatment

Do I need to see a doctor first?

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, be sure to bring the following items:

  • Prescription for physical therapy from your referring physician (if applicable)
  • Government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license)
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Patient forms, which can be downloaded from this site in PDF format. Print and fill out the forms completely and bring them during your first visit.
  • Patients who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit.

What should I wear to physical therapy?

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

What can I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, your therapist will perform a thorough examination, in which he or she will review your physician’s recommendations, examine the problem area, ask questions about your injury or pain, develop an effective treatment plan for rehabilitation, discuss their findings with you and answer any questions you may have. Your treatment plan may include hands-on, manual therapy, a customized exercise program, stretching and physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Your physical therapist may also recommend a home program to further assist in your treatment.

How long will my appointment take?

Your first appointment will typically last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your injury. Following appointments usually last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment for check-in and paperwork. You can also download our patient forms, which can be filled out beforehand and brought with to your appointment.

How often will I need to come?

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

Do you accept insurances? Will insurance cover my therapy?

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
