A native of the California desert, Kate moved to northern Colorado in 2003 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science (Athletic Training) from the University of Northern Colorado in 2006. She earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2011. Kate is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer. For the past 18 years she has been working with the Justin Sports Medicine Team, treating acute and chronic injuries for professional rodeo athletes in the Rocky Mountain region. Kate is full body certified in both Active Release Techniques and Trigger Point Dry Needling. She is a Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist, which allows her to work closely with area doctors and schools to manage both athlete and adult concussions. Kate is a preceptor for the UNC Athletic Training Program, Fort Morgan Community College PTA program and Regis University’s DPT program, mentoring future medical professionals. She specializes in the treatment of orthopedic injuries, sports injuries, cumulative trauma disorders, occupational injuries, concussions and vestibular disorders. Kate is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. When she is not working you can find her enjoying the Colorado outdoors, riding horses, snow skiing and spending time with her friends and family (Brighton natives).
