Kelly Hawkins PT

Aquatic Therapy (on-site)

Water supports the body and reduces stress on joints allowing muscles to be strengthened differently than on land. This allows you to exercise earlier after your injury and to get stronger and more flexible when your body cannot otherwise tolerate loading.

Aquatic Therapy Benefits

Aquatic physical therapy can help you improve your motion, strength, balance, coordination, and endurance and can be used as an alternative to, or in conjunction with land based physical therapy programs.

Aquatic therapy is often used to treat problems associated with:

  • Orthopedic surgery rehabilitation
  • Athletic rehabilitation "Athlete Advantage"
  • Pain Management
  • Back and neck injury
  • Strains and sprains
  • Neurological illness or injury
  • Arthritis
  • Gait deviations and balance/proprioception
  • Decreased range of motion
