Ryan Kahanu
PT, DPT, Clinic Director
Ryan was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. In 2009, he graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and a Minor in Spanish.
He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2012 from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
He received a Certified Movement Links Specialty in 2013. This specialty focuses on the application of movement-based approaches to assess and treat musculoskeletal pain dysfunctions. He also received a Pain-free Performance Specialist Certification (PPSC) in 2023, focusing on bridging the gap between therapy and strength training for the high-level functioning patient.
He has over 11 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and 7 years also in home health PT. In 2013, he traveled to Beijing, China to help treat diving, wrestling, and volleyball athletes prepare for the All China Olympics.
Ryan has led an active lifestyle since he was young, competing in cross country and gymnastics. In 2015 he was a professional acrobat in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA. He currently enjoys running 5K races and half marathons.
Ryan enjoys working with all types of patients and diagnoses, from helping patients post-surgery, to improving balance for elderly patients, to working with higher level athletes. He lives in Fort Worth, TX with his fiancée and their 3 dogs.
